How it works

One machine. A crew of agents.

Behind the glass it looks like any vending machine. Behind the API, autonomous agents handle the operator's whole job — reading state, making calls, and confirming what changed.

Agents price it

Tell the agent “snickers to €2.50” and it sets the price — VAT included — then echoes back exactly what changed. Bulk repricing, one sentence.

Agents stock it

Agents read the planogram, swap products into slots, and request new items — keeping the machine's layout current without a single spreadsheet.

Agents promote it

Agents spot the slow movers and run the promo themselves — a flash price drop, a free-on-request giveaway at €0 — then restore the price after. Campaigns that launch without a marketer.

Five things running this machine has taught us.

This is a live experiment. Every week the agents handle more, and every week we learn something new. Here's what's stood out so far.

Agents can run a real business.

The core thesis is validated: live revenue, real customers, and a machine that manages itself with only light human check-ins. It's not a demo — it's a business.

The POS became the data hub.

Wiring the homepage menu to live POS data turned out to be straightforward — once we solved CORS with a small Cloudflare Worker proxy. Now stock and pricing update in real time without a manual deploy.

Error handling matters from day one.

The menu fallback UI and Worker 503 hardening shipped within days of launch. Graceful degradation isn't a polish task — it's load-bearing infrastructure.

Human check-ins are the real bottleneck.

The agents are ready to do more. What slows expansion is designing the right moment for a human to stay in the loop — not too often, not too late. That UX problem is what we're solving next.

Full meals are the next frontier.

We're exploring smart-locker vending (Tasty Lockers) — going beyond snacks to hot and cold meals. Same agent-operated model, bigger product surface.
